Custom Made Ceremonies by Phoebe LAUREN
What’s the difference between what I offer and what others offer?
It’s simple. Have you ever worn a tailor made dress or suit? Do you remember how it felt? If not, can you imagine it?
All ceremonies are meant to reflect your uniqueness, your passions, and your beliefs. That’s what I do best – design a ceremony especially for you.
Just as in a garment, you choose the material – whether you want a traditional or an eccentric celebration. Then you choose the pattern – how the event unravels according to your likes and desires. And finally, there’s the finished product, which will definitely reflect your tastes and your individuality.
As far as I’m concerned the sky’s the limit! If you want me to perform your wedding ceremony on a boat, a baptism in a chateau, or a memorial service in your home – well, I’m available. If you want to play your sax to express your love for your partner or wade in the ocean, I’m there.
Whether you are very religious or not at all, your ceremony can and should be memorable. I love bringing in customs and rituals from different religions and cultures. Recently, I learned a few words in Portuguese and Persian to surprise a couple! This added to my languages of English, French, some Italian and a bit of Dutch.
I’m open to officiate at weddings, vow renewals, and any other ceremony you can dream up right here in France – and I’m willing to travel! If you want to celebrate the birth of a child, a new home, the passing of a loved one, or even a divorce - we can work together to come up with something special and meaningful.
I’m an ordained interfaith minister from the New Seminary in New York and a published author who loves to create joy in celebrating life. I definitely see the glass half full! You can read the rest on my website to find out more about who I am and who I am not.
